At the 13th China International High and New Technology Achievement Trade Fair held in Shenzhen on November 16, the most valuable technology innovation platform in China tire industry----the National Tire Engineering Laboratory was located in Triangle with the official approval from the National Development and Reform Committee. This is Triangle’s another great achievement since its giant OTR tire program was awarded the National First Prize for Progress in Science and Technology in 2008.

The National Tire Engineering Laboratory will focus on the research and development of the design, compound, manufacturing and engineering of various tires by taking full advantage of Triangle’s current equipments and research conditions. The National Tire Engineering Laboratory will become a R&D platform that integrates advanced technologies of tire design and manufacturing process, compound design, special tire design and engineering technologies, tire testing, performance analysis and engineering verification. Once completed, the National Tire Engineering Laboratory will enhance the independent innovation capability of Chinese tire industry, make breakthroughs in the critical technologies of tire design and manufacturing process, strengthen the core competitiveness of tire industry, and play a leading role in technology progress and industry upgrading.
