The name list of 2nd batch of provincial technological innovation projects was published in 2014 by Shandong Economic and Information Technology Committee. Six technological innovation projects, including the tread pattern upgrading and development project of winter tire were on the list. Shandong provincial technological innovation projects were appraised and selected by Shandong Economic and Information Technology Committee, which organize the experts in various industries to speed up the transformation of technological innovation achievements, to foster a series of key technologies and products with independent intellectual property rights, and to strengthen core competitiveness and the capacity of independent innovation. It is understood that there are 8 project applications in 2nd batch of technological innovation projects, six of which got approvals to be listed in the 2nd batch of provincial technological innovation projects. These 6 projects, including the tread pattern upgrading and development of winter tire, the application research of neodymium BR and other projects, were the independent R&D projects with the total investment of 69 million Yuan and have reached domestic leading level and international advanced level.
