On June 1st 50 teachers and students from Weihai Wangdao Primary School together with the representatives of students’ parents visited Huamao production base and the national engineering laboratory of Triangle Tyre Group Corporation (henceforth Triangle Group). It is the first time for Triangle Group to open to the public. These primary students had a good field trip to mark the arrival of the “June 1” International Children’s Day, visiting the tire production lines and learning about the tire production process as much as they could.

In Huamao production base, its manufacturing plant stands nice and neat, by which teachers, students and parents were deeply impressed. They visited the production lines and inquired about the tire production process. At the national engineering laboratory, they watched corporate image movies and listened to the explanations on the evolution, design, manufacturing, and future of the tires given by an R & D engineer of Triangle Group. They also visited the R & D facilities, the anechoic chamber and the green tire test platform, which represented the top level of China’s tire industry. With the guide’s elaborate explanation, the students as well as their teachers and parents all had a clearer picture in their minds of the tire － a friend in great need of our human beings.

All the students benefited greatly from this two-hour field trip. “We open to the pupils with the very purpose to live up to our social responsibility”, said an officer of Triangle Group, “we hope such an field trip to observe Triangle Group culture in its natural state will provide a good educational opportunity for the pupils to experience popular science.
