On March 5, BYD officially unveiled its first batch of 10 new models equipped with the second-generation blade battery and megawatt flash charging technology at the “Flash Charge China, Change the World” launch event held at Shenzhen Dayun Center Gymnasium. Among them, the highly anticipated 2026 Sealion 06 EV not only embraces a comprehensive upgrade in powertrain and smart technology but also receives key enhancements in chassis and tire systems. Triangle Tyre customized the TH801 PLUS EV dedicated tire for this model.

As a leader in the new energy vehicle sector, BYD’s second-generation blade battery marks a leapfrog breakthrough in energy density, low-temperature performance, and cycle life, paired with the world’s first “megawatt flash charging” technology, making charging as fast as refueling. Behind the high-efficiency powertrain and rapid energy replenishment lies the coordinated optimization of vehicle systems. Tires are the vehicle’s only contact point to the road, and their performance directly influences control, safety, and energy consumption.

The Triangle TH801 PLUS EV tire, sized 235/55R19, is specifically engineered for electric vehicles’ usage characteristics, such as high torque and low noise, with comprehensive optimization in wet grip, noise reduction, and driving stability. It serves as the factory-standard tire for the 2026 Sealion 06 EV.

Triangle Tyre’s partnership with BYD began in 2009, with Triangle commercial vehicle tires first made their debut on BYD buses.
