The International Rubber Conference 2023 (IRC2023) was held in Haikou from November 7th to 9th. The theme of this conference was "Intelligence and Low Carbon, Create a Better Future". Hosted by the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China (CIESC), the Rubber Institute, CIESC, and the Rubber and Plastic Green Manufacturing Institute, CIESC, the event attracted nearly a thousand guests and representatives from around 20 countries and regions. Triangle Tyre was invited to participate in this grand event and the concurrent exhibition.

The International Rubber Conference (IRC) is a significant event organized by the International Rubber Conference Organization (IRCO). It stands as the premier global academic conference in the field of rubber, held annually and hosted in rotation by member countries with hosting privileges. China successfully hosted IRC1992, IRC2004, and IRC2014, making this the fourth time that China organized the IRC. Dr. Zhang Liqun, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of South China University of Technology, served as the conference chair and presided over the opening ceremony.

The conference was attended by numerous domestic and international experts and scholars, including Li Yongwu, former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Chemical Industry and former Chairman of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Zhang Fang, Vice General Manager, Chief Technology Officer, and President of the Central Research Institute of Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd., Luo Qingming, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of Hainan University, Phil Coates, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK, Jian Xigao, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Qu Jinping, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Wang Yuzhong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, James JC Busfield, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK, Michael Clayton, Executive Chair of the IRCO, Dr. Matthew Thornton, Secretary-General of the IRCO, Fu Xiangsheng, Vice Chairman of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Fang Xiangchen, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of CIESC, and Toh Heng Guan, Secretary-General of the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC).

The conference featured one main venue and four sub-venues over the course of three days. Through this high-level academic exchange platform, Triangle Tyre's participating expert team engaged in in-depth discussions with academia and industry peers on the global impact of such goals as green and low-carbon development, optimization of industrial structure, research and development of advanced energy-saving and carbon reduction technologies, and their widespread application on the rubber industry, the development trend of the rubber industry, as well as the latest technological progress. Triangle Tyre also showcased its research capabilities and innovative technologies in the field of rubber to the attendees through the concurrent exhibition, attracting the attention of numerous domestic and international experts and scholars. The booth showed green products, green manufacturing, and achievements in independent innovative technologies, spanning various sectors such as passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and engineering applications.

The spotlight of the exhibition area was on the new energy vehicle tires TE307 and TH202, as well as the commercial vehicle tire TF01, serving as vibrant representatives of the rubber industry's commitment to green, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly development. Additionally, TR919, a tire exclusively developed by Triangle Tyre for China Railway Science & Industry Group Co., Ltd. (CRSIC) to support conveying machines for high-speed rail construction, as well as the winter tire TW401 and studded winter tire TI501, both receiving widespread acclaim from domestic and international customers, captured considerable attention. Furthermore, the booth vividly demonstrated innovative and energy-efficient vulcanization processes, equipment, and intelligent manufacturing production models through videos. These demonstrations were closely aligned with the conference theme, sparking enthusiastic responses from the participants.

Through this international exchange platform in the rubber industry, Triangle Tyre has showcased China's brand strength and commitment to responsibility on a global scale. In the future, it will continue to deepen its commitment to sustainable development, aiming to provide global users with more energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and higher-quality products and services.
