On February 9, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) announced its 2022 Green Manufacturing List. Triangle Tyre Co., Ltd. has been included in the List of Green Factories.

To fully promote green manufacturing, help the industrial sector to achieve the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality as soon as possible, and implement the 14th Five-Year Plan on Industrial Green Development, the MIIT organized experts to finalize the list through a review of dominant green manufacturing enterprises recommended by the provincial departments of industry and information technology.

Triangle Tyre is a leader in technological innovation in China’s tire industry and an initiator and pioneer in low-carbon and green development. As early as 2009, Triangle Tyre proposed the “low-carbon economy, green manufacturing” model to “create a new productivity model of the tire industry”.

Triangle Tyre advocates and promotes “low-carbon transportation”, and actively develops new technologies, equipment, and processes, to serve the global market with its innovative technological strength and “green” products.

Six series of Triangle Tyre have so far been included in the MIIT’s List of Green Design Products. Triangle Tyre was included in the first batch of ecological demonstration enterprises for green design of industrial products announced by the MIIT in 2019 and in the second batch of provincial green factories in Shandong Province in 2022.

In recent years, Triangle Tyre, sticking to the path of “low-carbon, green, and high-quality development”, continues to increase the application of new energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies in the production and manufacturing system, and has built the first 3MW rooftop PV power plant in the industry. For water resource utilization, it recycles all reclaimed water. For the use of raw materials, it collaborates with well-known enterprises and universities to develop new green and environmentally friendly raw materials.

For product development, it has developed several fuel-saving products by integrating ecological design concepts into project control procedures and management systems, such as the energy-efficient truck tire series. For equipment and facilities, it has reduced the energy consumption per unit of production by 5% in the past three years through technological transformation and process innovation, achieving low-carbon, environmentally friendly, green, and efficient production.
