Recently, board vice-chairman and vice president of Triangle—Shan Guoling was awarded the honorable title of “Women Inventors of 21st New Century” in the 4th “Women inventors of 21st New Century” appraisal activities which was jointly held by State Intellectual Property Office, All-China Women's Federation and China Invention Association, as well as in the 1st “Shandong Top Ten Excellent Engineers” appraisal activities which was jointly held by Shandong Provincial Science Association, Shandong Development and Reform Commission, Shandong Economic and Trade Commission, Shandong Provincial Bureau of Science and Technology and Shandong State-owned Assets Supervision & Administration Commission.

Shan Guoling currently is board vice-chairman, vice president of Triangle Group, as well as standing vice president, vice director of R&D center and chief engineer of Triangle Tire company. She joined Triangle in 1984 and devoted herself to radial tire research and development in the past over 20 years. She had a solid knowledge basis and rich technology experiences in tire industry; she sticks to self-innovation and had led her team in bold exploration and practice of domestic and oversea advanced tire research theories in the past decades. A large number of products and related technologies which were designed and successfully developed by her had supplied many domestic gaps, from which we got 22 national patent rights. She had done great contributions to the innovative development of both Triangle and Chinese tire industry. Among her contributions, the ““Jumbo OTR tire manufacturing technology and equipments development” project was awarded national scientific development first-class prize. Shan Guoling was awarded lots of honorable titles, such as winner of national "May 1" labor medals, “Shandong Labor Model”, “Excellent leader of Scientific Innovation”, etc. She was also evaluated and invited as specific specialist in “Taishan Mountain Scholars” appraisal activities.

Shan Guoling is always walking along the most front edges of Chinese and global tire technological fields with a stance of being “on the way”, she keeps doing contributions to the development of Triangle tire business. The honorable title of “Women Inventors of 21st New Century” is a reward for her diligent works in the past decades as well as recognition for her achievements; the honor belongs to both her and Triangle.
